Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals

A comprehensive virtual course covering the USCCA's curriculum on concealed carry considerations, home defense planning, legal responsibility, and defensive judgment for responsible armed citizens. This virtual class along with the live fire range qualification satisfies the education requirement for the Maryland Wear & Carry Permit. 

 Day 1 (Classroom) includes: 

• The four Universal Gun Safety Rules
• Understanding different types of firearms
• Understanding the legal implications of using a firearm
• Situational awareness and conflict avoidance
• Maryland firearm law
• What to do after a violent encounter
• Developing a home and personal protection plan
• Techniques for de-escalation, Preparing for the aftermath of a violent encounter 

 Day 2 (Range) includes: 

• Safe handling
• Basic shooting techniques
• Proper stance and grip
• Aiming and sight alignment
• Trigger control and follow-through
• State-mandated 25-round qualification course of fire. A minimum score of 70% is required to pass
