A comprehensive virtual course covering the USCCA's curriculum on concealed carry considerations, home defense planning, legal responsibility, and defensive judgment for responsible armed citizens. This virtual class along with the live fire range qualification satisfies the education requirement for the Maryland Wear & Carry Permit.
Day 1 (Classroom) includes:

A focused session on building a personal and household defense plan: awareness, access control, family communication, and response planning, and the aftermath.

An introduction to the legal framework around the use of force in self-defense in Maryland: reasonableness, proportionality, duty to retreat, and the aftermath of a defensive incident.

In our one-on-one sessions, the content, pace, and focus are determined by where you are and where you need to go. There is no curriculum to keep up with and no reason to move past something until it is right. The time is yours. If you are starting from the beginning, private instruction gives you a foundation built correctly from the first session: safe handling, basic mechanics, and the mindset that responsible ownership requires. You do not need prior experience, but you do need a willingness to learn and take the responsibility seriously. If you have some experience but have never had your skills formally evaluated, a private session fills in the gaps. Many intermediate shooters have developed habits they are not aware of. We identify what is working, correct what is not, and give you a clear picture of where your training actually stands. NOTE: If you do not currently own a firearm a Maryland Handgun Qualification License (HQL) is required to rent one from the range. Range fee, eye and ear protection are included. Gun rental and ammunition are NOT included and must be obtained at the range.
